The Thank You Sale

Mitchell Kimbrough

Mitchell Kimbrough
President / CEO

June 25, 2010

In the last couple of months we have seen a surge in support requests on our forum. We fell behind. In some cases we didn’t answer support questions for as many as 10 days. We feel very embarrassed about this and regret that we were not prepared. We have hired three new people to our support staff and now have more smileys than ever to send your way when you need them.

As a thank you for being patient with us while we dealt with this growth spurt, we are having a sale on all software. Starting now, get 30% off everything in the store until Monday, June 28th, 2010 [edited]. You can thank Josh Roof for 10 of those 30 percents, Laura Jessee for another 10, and Jim Wyse for the final 10%. No, I’m not taking the discount out of their pay! I just like to connect our sales and discounts to a theme of some sort. And this time the theme is the team.

So join me in welcoming Josh, Laura and Jim to the support team. I am very grateful to have their help. Let’s celebrate it all with a sale.

Thank you all for your patience. It’s a thrill every day to see that people find value on one’s work. I hope that we can continue to serve you with the highest levels of quality, service and professionalism.

Sincerely,

mk

Hiya,

Just wanted to say it’s great to see this level of commitment to customers and customer satisfaction.

Great to see more support staff here. Can only mean one thing now though, more time for you to create even more awesome software Mitchell!! wink

Anyway just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all your hard work supporting us all.

Thanks Mitchell, Josh, Laura and Jim (not had the pleasure of bugging you with a question yet) wink.

Best wishes,

Mark

Thanks Mark,

We try to keep Mitchell caged up to develop more software, but sometimes he escapes. grin

Thank goodness for our other developers that haven’t figured out how to use the latch yet.

Latches?

Nah, you should just build the room around them and have no doors or windows. Have really really high ceilings where you can airlift food and water in and then you should be set wink

If you can let me know what’s coming next for EE2 I’ll buy it.

Thanks

Hi Lee,

The next add-ons on the list are Super Search and Favorites. We do not have a timeline though. smile

Hi Kelsey, I’ve got both of those already. Not the right place to ask I know, but can I beg for some ajax in the upcoming Favorites module. smile

What about a forum module - you’d make a killing!

Hey, what happened? I’m sure that your blog post used to say that the sale went until JULY twenty-something. In fact, I’m positive ... because I made a purchasing plan based on that date.

But just now I went to double-check out the price on something I was going to purchase later this week, noticed that the price was not what I expected it to be, came back here to check things out, and now the blog post has been edited and says JUNE.

Did you change the dates? If so, I really wish you’d posted or tweeted something publicly about the change, because I had based my purchasing decision on your original post, and now I’ve missed out.

If I did indeed get something wrong, please let me know. Otherwise, well, I don’t know what ... I’m just disappointed!

Hi Andrew,

The July date was a typo (should have read “June”). I apologize for that. Can you please contact us at support@solspace.com though? smile
