This has been a productive and mind-altering Summer for Solspace. We’ve restructured the company, changed roles and responsibilities, refocussed our initiatives and most importantly added a very important member to the family.

As of August, Paul Burdick is an official member of the Solspace team with all the rights and responsibilities granted thereto.

Paul joins Solspace as Lead Developer, Free Electron and CDO (Chief Doom Officer).

Paul will assume the position of pushing Solspace software from great to stellar. He brings years of experience with him as the former CTO of EllisLab, the company behind ExpressionEngine.

I would like to publicly extend a personal welcome to my good friend Paul. We all look forward to working with you sir, especially me.

As part of the transition, Paul will be merging his Fiery Tea suite of software with the Solspace library. This means the Fiery Tea Expansion will cease to exist and in its place you will be able to use Hermes. Hermes is a light-weight, non-intrusive enhancement for ExpressionEngine that helps developers build EE Add-Ons faster, smarter and better.

In addition to the above, with Paul’s guidance, we are already hard at work and near completion on a comprehensive performance suite of software for EE. This performance suite will provide several different approaches to improving the performance of your ExpressionEngine site.

Welcome Paul! Welcome Hermes!

Great to hear guys!  I tried uninstalling FTE and all hell broke loose- so I am excited to hear Hermes will offer a migration path.  Congrats Paul.
