The Template Inspector module provides a set of tabs below templates in the template edit page in ExpressionEngine's control panel. The tabs—Notes, Embeds, Tags, Access, and Preferences—show information about the template currently being viewed.
This module moves the Notes tag from its normal placement, to a collapsable tab. An additional set of template saving controls is placed above the tabs to add ease to saving templates, while leaving another set of saving controls below the tabs, making the notes still usable when opened.
The Embeds tab shows a tree with all embeds within the template as well as all embeds subsequently nested within those embeds, with links to each embedded template.
The Tags tab shows a tree with all tags within the template as well as all tags subsequently nested within those tags, with links to first party, and Solspace documentation, and control panel links, if available.
The Access tab shows what groups do not have access to the template and if HTTP Auth is required.
The Preferences tab shows all preferences related to the template that is normally located in template group preferences.
