Okay have setup a new member profile section using USER and it works great…

I want to setup another section though for that user called ” INTERESTS” and in that section the user can then select via checkbox a number of things they’re interested in ..

How do I go about doing this ? There will be maybe 50 checkboxes so do I need 50 custom fields ??

The idea being that a member ticks they are interested in say :

AFRICA | ARCHAEOLOGY | ANTARCTICA | EGYPT | UNDERWATER

then admin will be able to export say everyone interested in AFRICA for email marketing etc.

The question is how do I do that checkbox section ?

I have a strange issue going on with the {exp:user:users} tag.

I am using the EE MSM and have a separate site setup for testing. It is an exact duplicate in terms of templates of the live site. It actually just pulls in the weblogs from the live site as well. So I can be sure that everything is the same. Everything I had setup in the testing site works fine. I transfer all of the templates into the new site and everything works fine as well… with the exception of one page.

Basically I am using the {exp:user:users} tag to create a list of our blog authors along with links. This is located in a sidebar embedded template. It is used in all of the blog related templates. It generates the list as expected on our live site on all templates except the template for the categories. It didn’t output the list of users. The template for displaying categories is the same physical template as the blog index template, and the list generates just fine on the index. The same exact templates work fine on our testing MSM site. I can’t figure out what is going on.

Here is the tag code inside the embedded template.

Hiya,

I was just wondering if it’s somehow possible (don’t know if User->Register has any hooks available to it?) to send an e-mail to the admin when a user registers but only if they register for certain member groups and not all.

What I have is a site whereby there will be standard users who can sign up and use the site immediately and no tracking of that data will really be required but then there will also be a couple (might be more) of member groups where it would be great if the site admin could receive an e-mail telling them that these people have registered.

The site is setup to allow people to be logged-in immediately upon registering.

Thanks for any help on this.

Best wishes,
