I want to show a gallery from a parent related entry on a child weblog entry..

Hello,

I’ve been wondering how I might be able to achieve this. I’m basically looking to post galleries into weblogs, but in a rather sophisticated manner. I have a parent weblog entry, designated for each celebrity and want images associated with him/her to be displayed in “News” entries, which are related to the celebrity.

Could someone provide me with some help on how about I might achieve this. I’ve taken a small gander at some information with the tag module and will likely purchase that for tagging anyway, but is there an alternative method without it?

Just wondering is this yet another bug or just me doing something wrong. Here’s my code.

So the count variable doesn’t seem to be working since it’s showing a value of 1 on each entry, and thus the if statements don’t work either.

Btw, on the documentation, the if statements are outside the loop. Is this normal?

Edit: Doesn’t GX have a paginate parameter? I think it’s time for a new version guys!

Can’t Upload Images

Hi. I’m trying to set up a system whereby a member can use a stand-alone entry form and a gallery extended form to add an entry to a website and then add images to that entry. I’m using SAEF redirect (and the hidden input form it requires) to take the member to the gallery extended form after they have submitted their entry. Here is the relevant code I have in the gallery extended form’s template:

When I try to submit a photo, I get an error message which says:

We were unable to upload your file. Make sure your upload directory has the correct permissions set.

Unless Gallery Extended is trying to upload the images to a different folder than are specified in the Photo Gallery preferences, the permissions are correct - 777 on both the image folder and the batch processing folder. When I try to upload a photo using the basic photo gallery module (from within the control panel), I don’t have any problem.

Any thoughts on why it wouldn’t work through the Gallery Extended form?

Hello, the m_height and width parameter doesn’t work correctly I think.

For example:
The height is the exact height entered in the gallery module preferences. But the proportions are constrained so the height can have a different value. This results in distorted images. Now I am leaving out the m_height but I am not sure if all browsers are happy with this solution.

Can I solve this issue somehow?

Stand alone entry and gallery

Hi
I upgraded to latest but have a problem.
I use stand alone entry form with Stand Alone Entry Form Redirect.
Submit goes to upload images.

When entry status is set to closed, the upload images form comes up blank.

[GX] Tab extension loses image_url

Hi there. I am developing a new EE site for a client which is not live yet (http://www.denisedubarry.com/index.php/site). I am not sure if these are bugs but I have run across an issue with the tab extension. This works fine for me for the most part BUT on the template when I use the GX entries tag to pull the images the {image_url} variable keeps giving me nothing but a blank space for all of the images uploaded via the Tab. I do not have this problem with images uploaded via the module or the GX upload forms.

I am using category-specific folders setting if that may help to pinpoint the issue. Let me know, thanks.

Hello, I have just tested the new version. But without succes. When I upload images with this images tab at the publish page it doesn’t apply a watermark to the images.

Gallery upload form returning error “Undefined index: upload_path”

Hi! I’ve read through other posts about upload paths, but they seem to be a bit different.

This is the error I get:

The gallery has an upload path set. The directory is set to 777. (The file upload preferences are set for weblogs too, and that directory is set to 777).

The form displays properly (although the onsubmit doesn’t seem to function). Form code (sorry about all this junk!!):

Upload from CP tab not working

I have installed 2.1.1 in EE 1.6.4 Build: 20080710

I get the image tab in Publish & Edit, then browse for file and then save the entry, everything seems to work except no image is uploaded.
I have uploaded an image via the normal Gallery module, then opened the Gallery Extended module and edited the image to include the related weblog id and it then shows in the Edit / Images tab for the entry.
Nothing shows in the Image viewer on the right, should it?
If I hover over the thumbnail the link goes to my system folder with the id number, so the path is wrong.
I have removed and re-installed the GX files twice in case there was an issue.

Gallery custom field drop-down, with populated custom field options

Hi!

I’ve set up a gallery with the EE photo gallery module. I’ve also bought Gallery Extended so that users can upload photos to it.

Reading through the documentation I noticed this:

Looks handy!

Now, I’ve set up the custom fields, so that Custom Field One is a drop-down list. Is there any equivalent way to get a populated drop-down list for this custom field in my photo upload form (rather than a text box) with Gallery Extended?
