I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, all else appears well but I cannot Harvest tags either from a custom field or from Categories. This is a local install so I can’t give examples/access yet - but I’d like to confirm that this is _supposed_ to work or if there are known bugs/issues with the harvest fuctionality.

The current state is that I check my weblog options etc., click submit, and it immediately says “Done” under “Batch” with no other feedback or errors, but nothing is ever imported into the module.

Any help is much appreciated. And hats off on the new version and the first “certified” module at that!

I’ve got the same problem. No tags were harvested from my selected entry field in either of the three weblogs I’ve tried it with.
I’m also getting a php-error/notice saying:

Notice: Undefined variable: total in ...modules/tag/mcp.tag.php on line 3121

Running EE 1.6.0 and Tag 2.0.9

Mitchell - thank you so much for the fast update - I just updated with the new build and harvesting from a field worked perfectly! This fix just made my day as I had imported a ton of entries in MT format and needed to preserve the keywords. Worked like a charm.

We’re working on a method to do some Tag harvesting for people who convert their sites using MSM, but that affects very few people.

Hi, I’m on the latest build of 2.0.9 and I’m having the same issue harvesting tags from existing categories.

- I chose “Create tags out of the categories that my entries belong to”
- Selected blog

When I click submit, it just says Done immediately but no tags have been imported.  Under Done, there’s a button for “continue” but if I click that too, and choose a blog, still nothing happens.

Any thoughts?  I need to get this up for a client site this weekend. Any help appreciated!  Thanks.

So you’ve checked your entries from that weblog, and none of them have been assigned the Category names as tags in the Tag tab?

When I updated to Tag 2.x, the tags were properly harvested for my MSM add-on sites, but didn’t show up on the rendered templates until I manually re-saved each and every entry.

Can I take a poke into your CP?

Did anything come of this? I’m having a similar issue here: blog fields are set up and populated with tags, Tag module preference is set up to harvest them, Harvest looks through the entries and reports Done - but comes up with nothing.

Try the absolute latest build of the module. We fixed this and released a couple of weeks ago.
