Is it possible to select multiple categories in the SAEF with GX2, i.e. not in a drop-down menu? I tried it the way I do it for a normal weblog SAEF, and it didn’t work. I’d be much appreciative if someone could post the code here.

Also, a kind of related question: one of my custom fields for the gallery is a drop down menu. Will that work in the SAEF with GX2?

Because selecting multiple categories is currently not available with the native EE Photo Gallery module, I don’t imagine it should be possible with GX2.
If you’re interested in “identifying” photos with more than one category… perhaps consider the Tag Module, where you can assign multiple Tags to each photo, and sort them much like you would with Categories.

And a final push on the Tag Module… it allows for LOTS of flexibility beyond Tagging
