return variable not working?

Just installed GX2 and it’s great. But I’m having a hard time getting the return variable to work properly. It’s treating the “/” character very strangely.

For example, if I were to tell it to:

return="{path=template_group/template/}"

It would attempt to return to this URL (which doesn’t exist):

http://www.mydomain.com/index.php/template_group/template/

I used my own template names of course, just showing the above as an example. Anyone have ideas how I can fix this? Currently I’ve had to remove the variable, and that auto-defaults a return to the homepage. Would really like to get this working.

Thanks,
John

Try using it without the Path variable in the return… like this:

return="template_group/template"

Also, which version are you using of GX2 and ExpressionEngine? smile

Hi Pie Man. Thanks for the quick response.

I downloaded the latest version of GX2 today (2.0.3) and my EE is the current 1.6.2 version.

Tried your suggestion and now it times out on me, just goes to a white screen. I’ve tried a full URL as well, same issues as above.

John,

Try downloading the latest version of Gallery Extended (I’ve fixed the return parameter issue)

Thanks Pie Man, much appreciated. Can you check the .zip file, I’m getting a corrupted file message each time I try it. Thanks again.
