Right, I’ve tested it with Commercial and Personal versions (EE 1.6.2 b20080225 and FF 2.6.3) and the problem still persists - no enclosing quote around the form id or hiddenfields class.

Core.functions.php remains unmodified also.

Bah!  angry

*EDIT* Just check with Core, and it’s the same hmmm

Thank you!

I’ll look further into this then… I’ll have Mitchell stare at it until he figures it out rasberry

How C. Barr did it, I have no idea.

Also, it appears to be stripping out single quotes in the form text as well - “I’m” comes out as “im” (as in, “I’m afraid I won’t be able to attend the wedding” - an online RSVP for a friend’s wedding).

The latest build of Freeform should have corrected that smile

Try re-downloading Freeform again smile

I did aaaaaand.... nope, still stripping quotes. The changelog says it’s Build 20080222 - is there a more recent build?

Crap! rasberry

Half the problem is that I’m an idiot LOL

I could have sworn that this was fixed… now when I test, I get the same problem…

I’ll document this bug… it should be resolved soon… and it will probably fix the Form and Hidden Div problem as well…

Sorry for all the inconvenience… and your patience smile

That’s okay - it’s not causing tremendous inconvenience as I’m not ajaxing the hell out of things at the moment - I just want forms that validate! wink

I’ve turned into such a capitalist. The me from 15 years ago would shun the me from now. Truth is Freeform, on account of being free, receives the least of our development time. And the least of our bug fix time. Thanks for hanging in there with us.

Thing is, it’s possibly the most useful module for ANYONE using EE. I’d have happily paid for the module given the amount of time it’s saved over multiple projects.

This is my favorite joke over the years:

I can’t charge for Freeform because of its name.

Well, it used to make me laugh at least.

It’s never too late to donate $ by the way.

Nice one!

I was planning to write extensions for Freeform to get around the whole Free nonsense. But only a few exist so far. The whole file upload part of Freeform should have been an extension that I charge for. I’m a sucker. What can I say? Freeform drives traffic and creates goodwill.

Mitchell, this is the module I install on practically all EE sites I build, and I have donated a few times.
All this to say, if $ is the problem, just charge a fair sum for what is a kick-ass module smile
I’m sure many people will gladly pay if it ensures further development!
