I just had a few disappointed users write in and complain about EE’s member photo upload. For someone who is easily technically challenged, resizing photos to a certain size in order to be able to upload them can be difficult. Do you think a photo resize feature could be built into the User module?

I have a related feature request.  I would find it useful if we could have two sets of each image, one large (to be shown on profiles) and one smaller (to be shown as avatars).

Basically… a thumbnail?

Aren’t User Avatars compatible with Image Sizer? I haven’t played around with the module, but this would be a heavily needed feature on our list. I don’t know how the current system for user profile images (avatar’s) work with User Module or whether they are different than the standard one in EE’s Member Profiles, but in an ideal world, it’d be amazing to somehow get this thing using AJAX to get things with a live preview.. That would simply be grand!

If I’m running a large scale site with user functionality, no doubt I want to hide everything for the less inclined. For some of my projects now, this would probably be the case.

I’d be willing to commission to get this somehow prioritized it need be. First and foremost, I need to purchase the User Module first and give it a run though!

I’d take a guess and say Yes, as I’ve never used it, but don’t see such being a problem, if I understand “Image Sizer’s” functionality correctly
As for an Ajaxy Member Profile.... definately possible! I’ve seen a site using the User module that is pretty much a Facebook equivelant
