skip_field in User 1.2.8 not working for me

I just upgraded the user module from 1.1.9 to 1.2.8 on a site.  In user search the skip_field parameter is not working for me.  It keeps pulling results from fields that should have been skipped.  It should only be looking in username, screen_name and other basic fields, not member_resume, member_bio.

For example:

http://www.pswift.org/index.php/site/directory/C795/

The “Search Members” form is at the bottom.  Search for “wood” and you will see a list of results. Some of them have “wood” in their screen names but others who have “wood” in skipped fields are showing up too.  I even tried using “m_field_id_18” but that’s not working either.

There is also an extra backslash at the end of the return url when I use {path=site/directory_results} but as far as I can tell it doesn’t break anything.

Thanks Lee,

I can confirm this bug.

As for the URL with an extra backslash....

I can confirm that as well, but I’ll check with Mitchell on this one.

In the meantime, you can use:

http://www.yoursite.com/template_group/template/
or
/template_group/template

wink

Was this fixed in 1.3?

i don’t think it was fixed because i’m experiencing the same problem.  i need to force the member search to not search the email field, and the skip_field parameter is not doing the job.  is there an eta on the next version with bug fixes?

The skip_field parameter issue has not yet been corrected.
I suspect a few more weeks before this is fixed. wink

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Drew,

We’re still not there yet. There’s quite a few bugs lingering for User module.
We’ve finally got some extra help at Solspace, so it shouldn’t be too long before the bugs are all corrected smile

Thank you for your patience…
