There are not sufficient extension hooks to make this one work. We’ll have to see what happens in EE 2.0.

Argh, this is the primary reason why I bought this extension. Is there a workaround!? Not sure how useful the extension is without this functionality.

I’m working on some functions that will be able to make use of the primary_category field, so I should be OK. I suppose you could always use the {exp:query} tag to get entries as well…

Unrelated, feature requests:
1.) Is there a way to do away with the scrollable list of categories? I’d rather just see one long list with checkboxes....
2.) The ability to limit the primary categories to a specific ‘group_id’. I have primary categories in a specific group, the other groups arent used for the “primary_category” field.

I think the vast majority of our users prefer the cleaner look, and that was our intended purpose.

The one issue about this is that the Categories List is obviously shared as the Selector for Primary Category. I guess we could just have the specific groups have the Blue arrow/ability to be assigned as Primary Category though
