I have installed and copied the files to my webserver as the readme file suggest.  For some reason Freeform is not showing up in the modules page.  Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

So your “freeform” folder is located in “system/modules/” ?

It should look like this (depending on the name of your system folder of course):

/system/modules/freeform/

Make sure your Language files are uploaded correctly as well

/system/language/english/lang.freeform.php

problem solved, I had freeform_2.6.5
