How to change the default EE messages when using the User module

Hi there

I’m struggling with trying to change the EE messages like “Thank You” and:

The form you submitted contained the following errors

 
The username you chose is not available
 
The email you chose is not available

Return to Previous Page

I’ve edited stuff in lang.core.php, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference. It’s starting to drive me a bit crazy! Has anyone else had a problem with this?

Turns out it’s located in the lang.myaccount.php file wink

Hi Pie Man,

It seems that it isn’t in lang.mymessages.php which means I’m still stuck unfortunately. I can’t believe it’s so hard to change such a simple thing.

I’ll try some advanced search type stuff and post back here if I find it.

Correction - it IS in lang.myaccount.php but it doesn’t affect what text appears on the site.

Strange… I searched through nearly a dozen ...where it “should have been” located files and that was the only one rasberry
