Hi there,

I’ve just bought the Favorites module to allow visitors to pick their favorite events on my website.

I’ve noticed though that the module requires users to be logged in before they can use this feature.

Is it possible to allow this module to be used by Guests too?  i.e. with a simple hack or changing a configuration option somewhere?  I realise that this wouldn’t allow people to save them for later, but in my case, I only want people to be able to save a list of events to print out there and then whilst they’re on the website.

Thanks for any advice on this,

Ste

sm9,

Actually, we plan to add this feature to Favorites in the near future. I need it myself for a client’s site, so you can count on it happening, haha LOL

Hi Pie Man,

Thanks for this - I’m looking forward to it! grin

If you add it (un-officially or officially) before 14th July, please be sure to let me know or email me any updated files as I’d love to be a beta tester for this for when my website launches! wink

Thanks,

Ste

sm9,

It will not likely be that early, but I assure you you will be notified once it’s released smile

Thanks Pie Man - there’s a few hundred thousand UK web users who would send you virtual beers if you did manage to do it by that date… :-D

Hi Pie Man,

I know developers don’t like committing to dates for new features, but I wondered if you could let me know a ball-park ,non-committal, no guarantee kind of timeline for when you might be adding this Guest saving feature?

I’ve got my staff in my ears requesting this feature and I’d love to tell them a rough timeline for when it’s expected, even if there’s no guarantee it’ll be ready by that time. grin

Thanks,

sm9,

I’d like to know myself, haha LOL

The trouble is, timelines get shuffled all the time, and I’m becoming more and more inclined to give out dates anymore rasberry
We’re very very busy at the Solspace Corporation (hehe) rasberry

Fortunately though, this is something I’d like for one of my clients (a website I’m working on right now), and I expect to get it up within a month or so. You can bet I’ll be putting some pressure on Mitchell myself LOL

Guestimate (as of today): 2 months. wink

Thanks Pie Man - I have it in writing now with a cast iron guarantee! tongue laugh

I’ll look forward to the beta in 2 weeks then! wink

Seriously though, I do understand and thanks for making a guestimate.
