I’m looking for multiple file upload abilities within the CP article.  I’d like to add images to an article, then have the ability to re-arrange them, delete them, edit them (crop, add captions, titles, rotate 90º), and run my own server-side script for GD resizing and placement.

This module will let you add multiple files to an article, delete them, and choose where to place them and size them. Though no resizing and no editting.

Can your File Upload do what I’m asking.  Is it customizable to do so?

When you say “CP article”, I assume you refer to the control panel, ie the backside side of things? “File Upload” is a module that enhances the Stand-Alone Entry Form (SAEF), it is not meant to work with the control panel. Mark Huot, on the other hand, created an extension, that does, indeed, work on the cp end of things. Hope that clears up any confusion.
