Not a major bug but an annoying on anyway.

If you send a form and then on the ‘thank you’ page click back then try and send the form again it gives this error:

The following errors were encountered

* You are not authorized to perform this action

This occurs even if you have changed the data in the form. So if a user accidently enters the wrong data and then goes back and tries to change the data and send the form again then he isn’t allow.

Forcing the page to refresh manually does solve this but allot of users won’t think to do this.

I will be grateful for any advice people can give me.

Thanks.

drenzul,

This is a native security feature built into EE.
It’s to prevent accidental duplicate submission and/or spam.

You can disable this by selecting “No” for “Process form data in Secure Mode?”

CP Home › Admin › System Preferences › Security and Session Preferences

But I wouldn’t recommend it. wink

Thanks, much appreicated.

Is there a workaround to allow duplicate entries if the message itself is different or would that require us writing our own code to check this?

*passes you a pie* smile

I don’t believe there’s another way around this with that setting on…
