Just updated to the latest Tag 2.6.6, and the issue still exists. Has there been any progress with giving the Tag module a URL Title-type feature?

Tag 2.6.6 does not “add” support for foreign or special characters in the URI. The issue has always been when query strings are forced, whether that be from the CP settings, or via .htaccess, which is dependant on your server settings.

As an alternative however, 2.6.6 adds new Tag_ID functionality. So you can now link Tags like this: smile

Maybe not exactly desirable for SEO, but it’s an option. We’re still considering some kind of a feature to allow Admins to control which characters can get automatically converted to a safe character of their choice. smile

Yeah, I saw you mention that in another related thread just after I posted that. I ended up spending 3 hours learning the new method of tag tags and implementing linking to ID’s site-wide. Like you said, it ain’t SEO-pretty, but it works for now. smile Thanks!
