Hi,

I’d like to be able to replace an existing file with a new version with the same name. I’m using rename_duplicates="yes” which adds a prefix to the file uploaded. If I use rename_duplicates="no” it gives me a warning that I cannot upload a duplicate file. Is there any way to gain the functionality of the control panel, where it warns me but allows me to re-upload the same file, keeping the same name? This would be super helpful.

I wasn’t planning to allow this as the File Upload is normally used by front-end users who should not be overriding anything present on the server. It may be great for you, but someone with less EE experience would be ready to sue Solspace the first time an important file was over-written.
