It’s just a matter of placing the variables into a Freeform box.
I use it for members to sign up for events and whatnot, but I went a step further… I have ALL of the (few) form fields hidden (it’s a VERY simple-style registration - all that’s needed to be known is the name), and automatically grab their name and whatnot… so all the member sees is a “Sign Up” button.... once clicked, it’s done - and effortless for the member 
You’ll just run into a few problems when placing it into an entry… some variables will not work (like Member ID - I have the event show the names of those signed up… but I’d like to have them clickable… using a Member ID field obviously)
