i’m using 2.0.9. i had a tag with a ‘ character in it that caused a mysql error when the extra single quote made a query mess up. i set that tag as bad. instead of making it bad it added a blank tag to the bad list. i deleted the blank and the original tag that caused the problem and although they’re gone from the tag control panel they’re still causing an extra comma to be displayed with those entries. somehow the blank still exists and there’s no way to clear it out. even if i clear out the entry’s tag box completely a blank is still associated with the entry.

if i enter a new set of tags to that entry it will display like this:

, some tag, some other tag, another tag

is there any way to clean out stray blanks that aren’t listed in the control panel?

edit: i found the blank in phpMyAdmin and killed it. everything is working fine now..

When is the last time you’ve downloaded a copy of Tag Module?
There was a bug that caused Tags to turn into NULL tags when editing in the CP or setting as Bad tags in CP.
It has since been corrected (very recently)

I’d recommend you update your Tag Module (it’s actually a new build of 2.0.9 in case there’s any confusion)
