I’m considering writing a mini-feed module for mimicing FaceBook’s mini-feed of recent activities.

Eg: “Person a commented on Person B” etc

Posting new comments has an extension hook, as does posting a blog entry.

Checking the User module I can’t see a “profile updated” extension hook. It might be useful to add one.
It might also be useful to add one to the upcoming (loud cough ) ITS GOING TO BE PANT-WETTINGLY GOOD Friends module.

A mini-feed extension or module might be quick to make but awesome to use along with the User and Friends modules.
