Hi Mitchell,
Yes, I can verify that the URL used to access the CP is the same as that entered in the “URL to your Control Panel index page” field.

Why don’t you send me a PM with CP access and I’ll have a look.

Hi all....has this issue been resolved?  I am having this same issue.  I have checked all the settings in the CP as suggested above, but everything looks okay.  Unfortunately this is in a local system (at the moment), so I can’t give anyone access.

Any further suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Hi again...I don’t mean to be pushy, but I was wondering if anyone was there to help?  I don’t seem to be the only one who is having this issue, and it would be great to have a few new leads as to how to resolve this.

Cheers.

PS: I am still a happy customer and about to buy the Favourites module!!

agun,

I apologize for the inconvenience…
Unfortunately this issue has not yet been resolved. The biggest reason this is so difficult to test is because it seems to only occur on Local servers, and we cannot have a look.
We suspect this issue should be resolved once ExpressionEngine 2.0 is released, as it will have much better support for Ajax.

In the meantime, if you need a refund, please send me an email: support AT solspace.com

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience wink

Hey Pie Man...no need for an apology, and no need for a refund.  I haven’t test the site live yet, so hopefully it will work okay in that environment.  It is only the suggest tag bit anyway, not the whole module.

On another issue, if you could make it work with the site search I would an even happier customer.....just my two cents!

Thanks for the help (and sorry for being pushy!).

There is actually two ways to do this. smile

1) Use the Tag Search Results loop, which can be used to display a seperate set of entries with Tags that match the keyword searched for. This is limited as it relies on native EE search results to exist to generate the page. For example, if you have 5 entries that are Tagged “pants”, but no entries at all have the word “pants” in them (title or body, etc), and if someone searches for “pants”, then the native EE Search results will not populate.

2) The second method is using an extension we currently are not yet selling publicly… Preparse. What this extension does it parses things during the Updating/Posting of an entry. So for example, what you can do is set up a template with the Tag:Tags loop in it, then, every time you create/edit an entry (including using the Tag Tab feature like you normally would), the entry updates while the Preparse extension parses the Tag:Tags loop, generating a list of your Tags into a custom field. That custom field would then be searchable wink

Let me know if you’re interested smile

Hi again Pie Man.  Thanks for the excellent response.

Option one is great, and will be useful for other sites, but unfortunately won’t work with the site I am currently using the Tag module for.

The second option sounds like the way to go.  I had tried using the Harvest to do this...but it seems that it is a one direction pull only (from the custom field to the Tag field).  Basically what you are suggesting with Preparse is a sort of Harvest function that goes from the tag list to the custom field...which is exactly what I want!!

Any chance of getting a pre-release version for ‘testing’ purposes?  wink

It’s quite okay to say no!  I still appreciate all your help!  grin
