Can you confirm if adding google campaign parameters to a long url before being shortened will not cause any issues? For instance if the original url is http:example.com/article_title, the proposed url to shorten with be something like:
http:example.com/article_title?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=twitter+share&utm_campaign=Shared+Link
I am planning to do this manually for every link, however, also will be great if its built into the tool - extra optional fields to add other parameters to the url.
Thanks.
Hi Victor,
I just did some tests right now, and it seems that Shortcut chokes on the ampersand (&). So to answer your question, it won’t currently work. I’ll make a note of this though, and we might be able to work around this
Kelsey - thanks for the reply.
So what do you advise? - hold off on shortening any link with shortcut until there is some sort of workaround? - My primary concern here is that all links created before the workaround will have to be redone and I loose complete visibility into the promos. On the other hand, bit.ly can do this without a problem however, I don’t want to use bit.ly as an interim solution for this. Many thanks.

Yeah, you’ll have to wait until (if) we’re able to work around this issue. Sorry :(
