I often realize that there is a new version of your software by accident. How about an automatic email informing everyone who bought it or who is interested in it that there is a new version available and what the exact changes are?

In fact, this reminds me. How great would it be if there was a module that allowed the creation of automatic emails upon a certain event? You could call it “Triggers” :-D

It’s a great idea, and things like this are currently being considered.

A new feature/system we currently have in place is a Subscribe option in the Main Sticky thread for each software in the discussion forums… for example…

Every time a new version or build is released, it’s posted as a reply, and the changelog is fully documented.

Any persons subscribed will recieve an email notification.
