I’m experiencing the problem described here in the EE forums.

Is there any way to address this and just make the unencoded email address show up in the field?

I don’t say this issue couldn’t be handled differently, but this is actually EE behvior we’re dealing with here. Fell free to make the necessary feature request, though.
