I get the following error when attempting to install Acronym:

Parse errorsyntax errorunexpected T_IF in /www/eh7510/public_html/system/modules/acronym/mcp.acronym.php on line 1

New install of 1.6.3 on EngineHosting.

Has this been resolved? I just downloaded the latest version from the homepage and I’m still getting this error when trying to activate the module:

Parse errorsyntax errorunexpected T_IF in /home/kwerk/public_html/backend/modules/acronym/mcp.acronym.php on line 1

Would have tried to fix this myself, but the mcp file is just one big line :(

That’s because the file is saved using Mac line endings (CR). Try opening the file in a text editor that supports these line endings, e.g. Notepad++ or Notepad2.
Also the file just contains “<?php” on line 1 for me (nothing that could cause a parse error), so saving the file with different line endings might resolve the problem.

Yep, true, thanks panic, totally forgot about this, why isn’t my editor detecting this on his own? Bad editor, bad! smile

Actually, this is a known issue with Acronym wink

NeverPanic, thinking about what you said, I went ahead and “rebuilt” the file and it worked. LOL

Acronym 1.5.1 is now available for download smile
