Another two queries.

1. In EE, the ‘notify me’ option (for Users) when submitting a comment is ...

The only mention I can find within the Rating docs is that this option is available ... but I don’t know how to implement it ({notify_me}) from the info available.

Could someone please advise?

2. I (as Administrator) want to be notified – by email – of all new ratings. I am using notify="myname@myemailaddress.com" within the exp:rating:form tags, but I am not receiving anything (yes, I have checked the spam box).

Help?

It’s not working for me at the mo ... can’t figure out why.

I’d like one to come to me (as Administrator) and another to go to a User to advise them when someone else has added a rating / comment to the one they did.

The notify="myname@myemail.com" element works fine except I (as Administrator) receive this email message:

Someone has posted a rating. Here are the details:

Entry Date: {entry_date}

{all_custom_fields}

- - - - -

Where I was expecting text there is simply the tags.

Here’s what I have in the (top part of the) rating form.

In the Rating Module > Templates I have two templates ...

1. name: notify_administrator
1. label: notify_administrator

2. name: notify_user
2. label: notify_user

... neither of which seem to be working.

Where am I going wrong (I admit to being a bit confused by this) and What should I be doing?

I’ve merged these two as they’re related…

Mitchell is really tied up at the moment, and I do not fully understand this part of the module (I blame Mitchell’s poor documentation, haha)
Will early next week for a response/fix be ok?

The sooner the better ... but don’t sweat it. It’s not absolutely essential to the working of the site and we’ll live with it as a ‘pending’ until you get back to me.

BTW, the module works well and is perfect for what we need our system to do re. entry ratings.

If it helps, Mitchell is working on building an Event Module for a client, which we will be releasing publicly shortly (early next month).

We’re about to make a pass through the Rating module for bugs and enhancements. This will be on our list to verify as I wonder about the stability of the various permutations of notifications.

We’re currently revamping the notification area as well as many others for the Rating Module.
I know I promised earlier it’d be out soon.
