Hello Solspace staff,

I have a website that is photo rich and I would like to add a tag module to turn it into an online photo database of sorts. This means I want to have a secure form where myself and my fellow office mates can enter and add tags to photographs already on the site. Does this mean I should most likely buy the form plug-in and the tag module? Is there any sort of security module/plugin/extension, I should get also?

In addition, say I have 10 photos per category, 10 categories per gallery, 7 galleries. ie lots of photos. Can I have a form that displays the ten photos from a specific category and that I can go to an add tags to all these 10 photos at once? Do I need to add tags one photo at a time? I’m just wondering how many days/months it will take to tag up all these photos…

That would be a good way to go! The Gallery Extended module will allow you to easily add images via the front end. The Tag module, obviously, will allow you to easily Tag your photos… via front end as well.

I wouldn’t worry about that, as you can easily set access to these templates or portions of templates with Member Group conditionals or setting the “Access” level for the template.

Unfortunately there is currently no way to edit multiple entries at once.

Thanks Pie Man for your help… Can I ask one more question? Can the FreeForm plug in be used to edit information in the photo gallery database?

No, Freeform cannot edit your photo gallery posts. Freeform is a completely seperate module, runs it’s own data, and is not intended for such.
And unfortunately, there is currently no way to edit Photo Gallery entries.... yet… as we planto add that in the future
