Solspace knows that both ExpressionEngine 1.x and 2.x branches will come to serve specific needs very well. We believe that Add-Ons for EE should be developed and maintained with the tightest possible compatibility between the two branches.
With Hermes, a clear and sustainable path between EE 1.x and EE 2.x Add-Ons can be discovered. As we maintain and develop Hermes, we will endeavour to provide additional tools that shorten the transition path from the two major ExpressionEngine branches.
FieryTea Expansion
Hermes was inspired by work on and with the FieryTea Expansion for ExpressionEngine. Hermes attempts to enable a wide array of methods and helpful utilities while affecting a light footprint within the EE architecture.
